I work with sticky minds.
What are sticky minds? You may describe yours as getting stuck in thought loops, spiraling or ruminating. These thoughts may come with seemingly intolerable and overwhelming emotions. They can get in the way of everything you do, including being with others, focusing, or trying to fall asleep. The most frustrating part can be that the skills that help you in so many other areas of your life, like your high expectations and ability to compartmentalize, do not work in the same way for your thoughts and feelings.
The persistence of these thoughts does not mean you are doing something wrong, just that you need to do something different. I am passionate about helping clients learn to be at peace with their thoughts and emotions. I aim to help clients find acceptance, and even humor, in triggers and events that used to bring them pain. Our minds and bodies give us information all the time about what is and is not working, and I am here to help you learn how to listen to this data differently.
If you identify with these challenges, please give me a call or send me an email to set up a free consultation to talk about what can be done to help you move towards a more meaningful and flexible life.
